How went my Eid?
Bliss.Sheer bliss.
Not because I slaved around making a zillion cups of tea for a zillion guests on Chaand Raat and crashed close to 2 AM (notice the chirpy morning person in me?). But because I sauntered down the staircase way past my rising time and didn't worry about shower and decking up as aliens cousins had taken over my majestic bathroom.
For a change, this year we ain't going chop-chop-chop at the poor bakra's neck,I'm told before a whole whirlwind of 'well-wishers' sends me rushing in my room digging up closet and shelves for a quality read till- wait, I'm sounding something of a recluse here, that I'm clearly not- just that Eids can be oh-so-boring sometimes. So yeah I drove out in the hullia I was pretty much in and the grocer seems a little startled at the post-work wind swept blondie woman who's having a somewhat minimalist Eid. He wouldn't know the dhai litre dee botlein weren't for my sole consumption.
Caught up on loose ends of movies playing on the idiot box-Pigged out on biryani and sheer and mithai and cakes.Sipping nostalgia outta my cuppa' coffee.Short-lived,sweet meeting with cousins. These past five days couldn't have been random-er bliss!
